Ticket to Work Program

CareerSource Gulf Coast links individuals with disabilities to resources designed to connect them to the right employment opportunities. If you are between the ages of 18 and 64 and have been thinking about going back to work, you should consider the Ticket to Work Program, which is designed to help you keep your benefits, even while returning to work.

Young Adult General Education - Cornerstone Program

Our Cornerstone program is open to eligible young adults aged 16-24 who do not have a high school diploma or GED. Dedicated Career Counselors not only assist these young people in earning the diploma/GED, but also teach valuable life and employability skills.

Gulf County Summer Internship Program

Young adults living in Gulf County may be eligible to participate in the Port St. Joe Summer Internship Program, gaining real world work skills and a step up as they work on a full-time job search. Among the places are our interns have worked are the City of Port St. Joe and the Gulf County Government Center. In addition, some work with the young children in our Port St. Joe Summer Leadership Camp, which draws upwards of 200 participants.

Summer Program

The ever-popular Summer Program is a free six-week day camp for Gulf County children ages 4 to 12. The camp is designed as to engage kids in fun, safe, and educational activities, field trips, STEM activities, crafts, outdoor recreation, and more! Plus, nutritious meals are also provided. Activities are structed to bridge the educational gap during the summer months.

Registration for the 2024 Summer Program is now open! Join us at the registration kickoff cook out on Monday, April 1, at the Washington Gym in Port St. Joe. Register your child, while enjoying food, music, and activities.

Alignment Bay County

CareerSource Gulf Coast joined numerous Bay County organizations and businesses to develop a new collective impact organization: Alignment Bay County. This non-profit, grass-roots organization aims to bring existing community resources together to better support Bay County’s youth from cradle to career. FAME Gulf Coast Chapter

The Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) is a nationally recognized Co-Op program that provides training via work experience and education. This workforce program will pair accepted students with a sponsoring company in order to complete an AS Degree along with a two (2) year work-based learning program.

FAME students will enroll at Gulf Coast State College in the Engineering Technology-Advanced Manufacturing AS Degree program attending classes on campus two (2) days a week and will work three (3) days a week in the work place. This is a five (5) semester college AS degree program.

Homeless Veterans Stand Down Event

Every year, countless volunteers and community agencies come together to offer a wide variety of information and assistance to homeless veterans to help them transition from the streets and shelters back into the community. Community-Based Organizations

CareerSource Gulf Coast understands and appreciates the efforts of Bay County’s community organizations that work tirelessly to aid those in need, and we are here to help! Through our Job Center, we provide a variety of free programs to get job seekers the education, training and services they need to land a job. Our services are designed to assist all job seekers, regardless of educational or work background. We even have specific programs for veterans, military spouses, and low income families.
