Florida’s Welfare Transition and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) emphasize work, self-sufficiency and personal responsibility. Program participants gain valuable skills, training and work experience in an effort to reach total self-sufficiency.
We provide free pre and post-job placement services to individuals referred by the Florida Department of Children and Families. The programs are designed to help participants gain skills and training, and/or work experience that will increase their ability to move directly into employment. Supportive services may be offered to remove barriers to employment. Each participant receives one-on-one career counseling and ongoing support to help their goal of self-sufficiency.
Services may include: career planning workshops, goal setting, resume assistance, childcare referrals, work experience opportunities, budgeting assistance, transportation help, rent and/or utility assistance, clothing needed for interviews, uniforms/tools for work, tuition assistance, and reimbursement services.
