Subsequent Designation
Regional Local Workforce Development Area Subsequent Designation for 2024-2026 (Open for comment until May 16, 2024)
Background: Local workforce development areas that receive an initial designation by the Governor may be granted a subsequent designation if, for the two most recent program years, the local area performed successfully and sustained fiscal integrity, and in the case of a local area in a planning region, met the regional planning requirements as described in WIOA Sec. 106. The chief elected officials must submit a request for subsequent designation to CareerSource Florida and Florida Commerce every two years beginning July 1, 2017.
