The federal government shutdown has continued into November; therefore, SNAP benefits for November will not be issued until federal funding is restored. You may receive notices about your eligible benefit amount, but you will not receive any benefits deposited to your EBT card during this time.

Please refer to the Florida Department of Children and Families website for additional information and updates: DCF SNAP Notification.

As such, SNAP Employment & Training Services will be suspended in the CareerSource Gulf Coast Job Centers, effective November 1, 2025, until further notice.

SNAP Employment & Training Requirements

Florida’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), often referred to as Food Stamps, requires that all Able-Bodied Adults without Dependents (ABAWDS) aged 18-59 must participate in the SNAP Employment & Training (E&T) program. Read these Frequently Asked Questions for more information about SNAP and the ABAWD status.

The goal of the SNAP E&T program is to help unemployed recipients of food assistance benefits find work. CareerSource Gulf Coast oversees the SNAP E&T program for Bay, Gulf, and Franklin counties in partnership with FloridaCommerce.
