Florida’s Welfare Transition and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) emphasize work, self-sufficiency and personal responsibility. Program participants gain valuable skills, training and work experience in an effort to reach total self-sufficiency. At Career Source Gulf Coast, the Welfare Transition and SNAP programs are managed by our service provider Royal American Management (RAM) under the One on One, One by One Program – which is funded through CareerSource Gulf Coast and serves Bay, Gulf and Franklin Counties.
One on one, One by One provides free pre and post-job placement services to individuals referred by the Florida Department of Children and Families. The programs are designed to help participants gain skills and training, and/or work experience that will increase their ability to move directly into employment. Supportive services may be offered to remove barriers to employment. Each participant receives one-on-one career counseling and ongoing support to help their goal of self-sufficiency.
Services may include: career planning workshops, goal setting, resume assistance, childcare referrals, work experience opportunities, budgeting assistance, transportation help, rent and/or utility assistance, clothing needed for interviews, uniforms/tools for work, tuition assistance, and reimbursement services.
One on One, One by One is committed to serving the community and is helping hundreds of people each year in their effort to become economically self-sufficient.
