Rebekah Vassar and Shelley Scarborough were selected as the newest members of the CareerSource Gulf Coast board by the Bay County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)—Vassar on February 17, 2021, and Scarborough on April 20, 2021.
“Rebekah and Shelley bring valuable education and experience to the CareerSource Gulf Coast Board of Directors, and we are excited for their involvement,” said Bill Dozier, Bay County BOCC for District 3.
Rebekah Vassar is the Assistant Vice President of Business Banking for Hancock Whitney Bank. She has over 15 years' experience in strategic banking and financial solutions with a passion for helping area businesses and nonprofits succeed. She is also actively involved in the community as a member of multiple organizations that focus on service such as the Emerald Coast Business Women Association and Bay Chamber of Commerce.
Shelley Scarborough is the Manager of Overhead Programs for Florida Power and Light, formerly Gulf Power, and has over 25 years’ experience in the energy and utilities industry. She is also actively involved in the community serving as the current President-Elect for the Panama City Beach Rotary Club. Shelley is also a member of the Military Affairs Committee through the Bay Chamber of Commerce, Bay County Habitat for Humanity, and The Pregnancy Resource Center.
