CareerSource Gulf Coast made the tough decision to cancel the Port St. Joe Summer Program for 2020.
“We are deeply saddened to cancel this year’s Summer Program,” said Kim Bodine, Executive Director of CareerSource Gulf Coast. “However, we made this decision to keep our Gulf County youth and staff members safe from potential exposure and spread of COVID-19. As you can imagine it would be very hard to have children socially distance themselves.”
CareerSource Gulf Coast is prepared to provide internships to area youth provided sites are available to host.
CareerSource Gulf Coast has partnered with the Jessie Ball DuPont Fund to hosting the Summer Program for kids in Gulf County, ages 4-16, since 2011. Last year, approximately 180 youth were enrolled in the program.
