CareerSource Gulf Coast partnered with Saint Dominic Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 19, to provide food to over 275 families in Bay County.
“Our community has been suffering from COVID-19 and the impacts it has made on our local economy,” said Kim Bodine, Executive Director of CareerSource Gulf Coast. “With so many individuals out of work, affording necessities is a growing concern. CareerSource Gulf Coast is going to do all we can to help our community through this time, which is why we hosted this distribution.”
The distribution, sponsored by CareerSource Gulf Coast, was held at the CareerSource Gulf Coast Job Center in Panama City. Within four hours, over 275 families received food.
“It is important that we recognize our friends at Saint Dominic Catholic Church for organizing the event and securing volunteers, as well as volunteers from Lynn Haven Methodist Church, Royal American Management and ARA for their efforts,” said Bodine. “Thank you, everyone!”
